Child Diabetes has been associated with consumption of cows milk, and vaccinations. Cures may be available.
Child Diabetes is also know as juvenile onset diabetes because it occurs mainly in children. Because adult onset diabetes started to occur in children as well, the terms were changed. Child diabetes is now called Type 1 diabetes, while adult onset diabetes is called Type 2 diabetes. Type 1 diabetes is also known as insulin dependent diabetes mellitus, or IDDM. The insulin producing cells of the pancreas no longer produce insulin, so the afflicted person is dependent on insulin shots. Compare this to Type 2 diabetes: the insulin is produced, but the cells do not respond to it. In Type 1 diabetes, the cells of the pancreas that produce insulin have been destroyed.
